You just ate and you pay, say $150, then you go to get your free wallet size photo and they, of course, offer a bigger version of your photo, that is great, but they charge $25 for a 4x7 print in a paper frame!!!!!! That to me was scandalous. This is the biggest scam of the whole evening. They take a picture of your party at the entrance, and they say FREE wallet size photo with your dinner. We thought it was very pricey and not to include sweet tea or soda was absurd. Dinner was $47 with beverages not included. Price is not known until you are seated. It was edible, but needed some sweet rolls to ‘suck up’ or balance the extra season. Make sure to let Hibachi cooks know if you do not want too much seasoning, our Hibachi food was extra seasoned. The food wasn’t spectacular, regular buffet food with the only difference of a nice Hibachi station, and decent crab legs, we liked that. We stopped at Giant Crab located in North Myrtle Beach, SC, thinking it was a type of place we do not have at home. We wanted a fun and family oriented place to eat. I guess I can't blame the employees when this is the example they have. Without a word he walked away, sat down and started to eat. His answer (never stopping from shoveling food on his plate) was that it was late, I should of expected it and come earlier and it was only salad that was taken so he didn't see a problem. ![]() And the pièce de résistance? I happened to see a MANAGER doing the same thing as his employees and shared with him how I felt about what our experience was. Now I'm assuming that a meal at the end of the night is a perk for them and that's fine, but to take food out of customers mouths? To not wait until the last guest has had their fill? At no time was there a last call given for the buffet that most every other place I've been to gives when it is late. And you make us eat cold food? But the worst thing I saw was when I went out for one last serving of a specific food, I saw the employees filling up their plates, competing with paying customers for whatever was left on the buffet. There were still between 10-20 tables in the restaurant still eating. Really? Even if you are closing, this is ridiculous. Some of the hot food this time around was much cooler and when I mentioned it, my husband said he'd noticed they'd turned all the heat off on the hot buffets. Mostly salad stuff, but since I was going back for that very thing, it was frustrating. Not changing them out, but taking things away. We'd gotten our first plates, finished them and went back for seconds when I noticed the employees were removing things. It wasn't the food that made me write a poor review for this place, but the service. What I was able to have before things went awry was delicious. I will say that in normal circumstances for the most part the food would probably be good. We were told how things worked and we prepared to enjoy ourselves. (we realized they were shutting sections down a bit later.) Our server was nice and friendly-the high point of the employee interaction. We were welcomed in, told nothing about them closing soon, but were stuck in the back about as far away from the buffet as you could be while they cleaned other areas. But we do that often on our travels and have always been given the courtesy of letting us know how much time we had before closing. Let me say right up front that we got there later than normal dinner time. Love seafood and had seen billboards announcing that the Captain would "complete us". We were really excited to try this place as we drove through Myrtle Beach.
